Resolved Question: Considering relocating to Georgia, what areas are safe outside of Atlanta and what areas NOT to move to?

My husband has been considered for 2 different jobs near Atlanta Georgia, we are from PA therefore do not know much about the area. Areas we have considered moving to are Jonesboro, College Park, Hampton, Riverdale, Decatur, Stockbridge, & McDonough. Any advice on relocating to the area, how are the taxes (property, school, etc), not worried about the schools because we plan on using the cyber charter schools not the public schools. Any advice would be great. Many of you have asked why we chose these areas. The job that has contacted my husband is located in Forest Park, so we are trying to stay close to the area so travel is not an issue and he will not have to drive through the city to get there.
